Our products and our supply chain are 100% cruelty-free. It should be added that by law any product made in the UK/EU is required to be cruelty-free and no animal testing can be used.
Are your products organic?
All our products can be marketed as ‘organic’ as they contain a range of organic ingredients. It is not always possible to source organic for all of our ingredients range but all of our products contain organic and natural ingredients.
Our products are not ‘certified organic’ as this certification is something costly that adds no value to a product, we would prefer to save funds for product development. Instead, we focus on creating high quality natural products that deliver outstanding results.
It is important to note that a product does not have to be certified in order to be labelled as organic.
What is the shelf life of your products?
Shelf life of all our cosmetic products is 36 months from date of manufacturing when properly stored.
Period after opening varies between packaging
Closed containers PAO = 12M
Open containers (jars) PAO= 6M
Open containers should never be stored in a bathroom.
Bath bombs are at their best within 3 to 6 months of production. They never 'go off' but they will slowly lose fizz and fragrance due to their naturally porous nature.
Home fragrance products have unlimited shelf life as long as they are stored out of direct light and heat sources.
Are your products suitable for Vegans?
We always include the word 'Vegan' in the title of a product on our website if it is suitable for vegans. You are welcome to double-check our ingredients lists in the expanded view of every product to see for yourself. There are no secrets here...we believe in full ingredient disclosure.
Do I need to have your white label range tested and assessed before I can sell them?
No, the products in our white label range have already been approved to meet the EU legislative requirements and our formulae are all safety assessed and made under the license of PB Ltd.
In order to sell any product under your own company brand, you must register the product on the EU portal as the responsible person. Regulation (EC) N° 1223/2009 (Article 13). All information required in order to upload products can be found on the PIF summaries on each product page.
Before a cosmetics product can be placed in the UK or EU market, it is necessary to register or provide ‘notification’ of the product on the UK & OR EU Cosmetic Product Notification (CPNP) (OPSS) UK version. This means that in order to sell your product under your own brand within the UK or the EU you must register on the appropriate website, the ‘Responsible Person’ for your company must ensure the details are uploaded into the CPNP.
Please note that your responsible person along with their registered address needs to be in your choice of union of either Europe or the UK. This means if you choose to sell in the UK your responsible person needs to be UK registered and if you sell within the EU your responsible person needs to be a registered EU resident. Relevant addresses for your responsible person will need to be displayed on your product.
Can you make a bespoke product for us? If so what is the MOQ?
We certainly can. If it's something we already have current formulae and safety assessments for it's pretty simple and quick and can be done with as little as 100 units per product. If it is something that needs a new assessment or development then it will require further fees. Development cost with our head chemist is chargeable at £30. p/hour with a minimum of an 8 hrs of billable time. Safety assessments vary in price depending on the type of product and the number of ingredients.
Can I rename your products?
When you purchase products from us, you can rename them anything you want on your own labels. This helps you to distinguish your products from anything similar on the market. Get creative!
Can I remove or add ingredients to your formulas?
You are buying a finished product from us. We do not sell cosmetic bases for the purpose of further development. If you change anything other than applying your own label and outer packaging then it is no longer the same product and would no longer be considered legal for sale and would not be protected under our manufacturing insurance or safety assessments.
Should you require a different formulation then that would be subject to bespoke product development and associated fees.
With some products, when allowed, we will give you options during ordering to choose things like colour, fragrance, ingredient add-ons, etc,
Can I order samples before committing to full batches?
If it is something that we have on-hand then we are happy to provide you with samples at rrp.
